Deep-Sea Minerals publications released

The SPC-EU Pacific Deep Sea Minerals Project, set up to help Pacific Island countries to improve the governance and management of their deep-sea mineral resources, has collaborated with GRID Arendal to produce a series of publications on deep-sea minerals and their exploitation. Drawing on scientific expert contributions from around the wold, these publications give comprehensive descriptions of the nature, occurrence and formation of seafloor massive sulphides, manganese nodules and cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts. A further volume covers deep-sea minerals and the green economy, and there is a summary brochure to accompany the series. The publications are freely available to download as PDFs from the GRID Arendal website.
